Parents and siblings are encouraged to stay on the neonatal unit and care for their baby as long as they want, so you are welcome at any time.

Other visitors must be over 18 and accompanied by one of the parents. They may visit between 12noon and 7pm.

We recommend only two visitors at the cot-side at any one time due to safety and in case of an emergency.

These are just guidelines: if you feel that there is someone who is unable to visit within these times or you have special circumstances, please speak to the nurse in charge and we will endeavour to be flexible to your needs.

In certain circumstances, it is possible for another relative to be nominated in place of a parent. Please ask your nurse for more details.

We recommend that only parents handle their baby during the early days.
