The BMA balloted its junior doctors about taking industrial action on 1, 8 and 16 December. The result of the ballot, announced at 10am on Thursday 19 November, was that 98% voted for industrial action.
We would like to reassure patients that we expect to provide as full a service as we possibly can during this period.
We will be contacting any patients affected by the junior doctor industrial action in due course to rearrange their procedure if necessary. If you are not contacted or if your procedure is not on 1, 8 or 16 December then please assume that your procedure will not be affected. However if you do require further assistance then please contact the number on your appointment letter for further assistance. Please be reassured that any changes in service will be done in the interest of patient safety.
