I studied Medicine at Cambridge University (1999 – 2002) and gained my BMBCh at Oxford University (2002 – 2005).  During my time at Cambridge University, I also completed a MA (Hons) degree in Physiological Sciences. I was based in the Oxford deanery for my surgical training, including two years at the Oxford Colorectal Unit. I spent two years doing laboratory-based research in Oxford and gained an MD from Cambridge University in 2014.

I undertook specialist Colorectal Fellowships in the renowned John Goligher Colorectal Unit in St James’s University Hospital in Leeds and in University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff before taking up my Consultant Colorectal Surgeon Post in Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. I have a strong teaching background, and also have experience recruiting patients into clinical trials. I have published several papers and presented at international meetings. I am a member of the Association of Coloproctologists of Great Britain and Ireland.
