Patients and their carers, families and friends are being asked to share what matters most to them when they are in Worcestershire’s hospitals, to help inform plans for further improving patient experiences and quality of care.

Staff at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust – which runs the Alexandra, Kidderminster and Worcestershire Royal hospitals – are encouraging people to have their say by taking part in their annual Big Quality Conversation.

The short anonymous survey – which is available in 95 languages – asks questions about safety, the effectiveness of treatment and the overall experience of hospital care, with the results again being used to inform the safety and quality priorities of the Trust. The survey is Easy Read, and the hope is to engage with as many people as possible.

Hayley Flavell, Interim Chief Nursing Officer at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust, said: “We really want to engage with our patients and their carers, families and friends to understand what is important to our local community and we will use this information to directly inform the Trust’s Quality Priorities. We will publish these in our annual Quality Account.

“This year we are again running our survey until January, and we hope to support a variety of opportunities for engagement and capturing feedback from the public. By completing the survey our local community can help make a real difference and support us in delivering excellent standards of care.”

Results from last year’s surveys are available in the Quality Account 2024-2025 here: http://bit.ly/3I1ZjoR
