Miss Natalia Price

Area of expertise: Urogynaecology, complex endometriosis surgery and laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery.

Since December 2020, Miss Natalia Price has held the position of Consultant Gynaecologist and Urogynaecologist at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust (WAHT), where she plays an integral role within the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department. Her responsibilities include providing specialist clinical sessions in outpatient and emergency gynaecology, with a focus on urogynaecology, complex endometriosis surgery, minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures, and ambulatory gynaecological care.

Previously, Miss Price served for ten years as a full-time Consultant Gynaecologist at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUHT), from November 2010 to November 2020. During this time, she developed a subspecialist practice in urogynaecology, complex endometriosis surgery, and advanced laparoscopic surgery.

With over fifteen years of expertise in pelvic reconstructive surgery, Miss Price has a particular interest in minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques for treating pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence, including laparoscopic colposuspension. These advanced procedures are still not widely available in the UK, primarily due to a shortage of laparoscopic skills among urogynaecologists. Her surgical proficiency in this area has been acknowledged at both national and international levels.

In addition to her urogynaecological practice, Miss Price manages a broad general gynaecological caseload and is recognised for her expertise in the laparoscopic management of large benign pelvic masses. She is passionate about the continual improvement and innovation of laparoscopic surgical techniques and is highly committed to surgical education. A widely respected educator, she has delivered lectures and surgical demonstrations across the UK and internationally. As an accredited British Society of Urogynaecology (BSUG) trainer and mentor, she has supported numerous hospitals nationwide in developing their laparoscopic prolapse and continence surgery services.

Miss Price is an active member of several esteemed professional societies, including the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE), the European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (ESGE), the British Society of Urogynaecology (BSUG), and the International Urogynecological Association (IUGA). She also contributes to national training efforts through her work with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), serving on the BSUG/RCOG Training Committee.

At WAHT, Miss Price holds the position of Programme Director for the RCOG Subspecialty Training Programme in Urogynaecology and also serves as a co-trainer for the RCOG’s Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery Training Module.
