Dr Neal Austin Barnard

My consultant career commenced at WAHT in June 1993. I became Clinical Director of the Head & Neck Directorate in January 1994. Up to my retirement from fulltime consultancy in 2013 I developed the OMFS service across Herefordshhire and Worcestershire with centralisation of major Head and Neck surgery in Worcester. I helped, as Clinical Director, develop the ENT service and as Clinic Lead for Head & Neck Cancer Surgery helped develop services for the management of oral, ear, nose, and throat and skin cancer. I returned part time in 2014 specialising purely in the surgical management of Head and Neck skin cancer.

I left WAHT in 2025 to work more flexible hours with NHSP but have now returned to the same role as previously with WAHT.
