Community members, local businesses and organisations across Worcestershire have come together to support their local acute hospitals, Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, this Christmas time.

From donations of toiletry sets, hand crafted Christmas cards, new born gifts, gifts bags, chocolates and selection boxes to providing new toys the community has come together to ensure that all patients spending Christmas day in hospital can still celebrate the season.

Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Charity and Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust would like to say thank you to everyone who has shown support.

Sophie Burt Head of Fundraising and Community Development says: “Thank you to everyone who has shown support for their local hospitals this festive season. Each year Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Charity Team is so pleased to support the kind donors who donate gifts for patients spending Christmas day in hospital, the outpouring of support experienced this year has been truly amazing. It will make a real difference for our patients and for the amazing NHS staff working on Christmas day who get to help patients in their care to celebrate the season with a gift!

Thank you to Baylis and Harding, Little Bird Told Me, CR Macdonald Surfacing, Monty, Jacob, Zach, Ben, Alfie and Logan, Webheath Academy Primary School, Tesco Stores Kidderminster, Evesham and St Peters, DHL Worcester, Morrions stores Droitwich, Malvern and Kidderminster, staff at Argos Redditch for buying gifts and Far & Wide Community Group for their generosity.”
