We are a hospital based specialist nursing team who provide care, education, support and information for patients and their families in the community who have been diagnosed with active or Latent TB. We have regular contact with our patients through clinic and home visits, as well as telephone calls. We have access to interpretation services for those whose first language is not English.

We provide TB screening throughout Worcestershire and we work closely with respiratory consultants, paediatricians, microbiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a quick and accurate diagnosis.

In addition we provide infant/child BCG vaccination clinics for people who meet the Department of Health criteria.

We offer information, advice and education about TB to health professionals and the community.

Confidentiality

TB is a notifiable disease which means we have a duty by law to inform Public Health England of any active TB cases. We will ask your permission to discuss your care with other healthcare professionals such as your consultant or GP. We will not disclose information about you to anyone else without your permission.
