Work experience

Neurophysiology3Due to current clinical pressures, unfortunately we are unable to support ad hoc work experience placements.

However, our structured work experience programmes for aspiring nurses, midwives, radiographers, biomedical scientists and medics are still planned for this year.

To work in a clinical area you must be at least 16 years old, but you can still apply for admin/clerical work experience if you are 14 or 15.

We are also unable to offer work experience in theatres, the mortuary, A&E, Paediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Mollie Bradbury, Work Experience Student said “I was quite nervous about working in the hospital but mostly just excited to find out what it was really like. I’m definitely going to go to medical school and hopefully train as a doctor. Everyone we met during the week gave us really specific information relating to working in the NHS, you can’t find that kind of information everywhere.”
