I have chosen to concentrate on the field of rhinology. I introduced endoscopic sinus surgery to Worcester ten years ago and complex rhinoplasty techniques for people with structural abnormalities of their nose. Before resorting to surgery patients are fully worked up with particular attention to allergies and I work closely with the respiratory physicians. I also introduced endoscopic techniques to deal with pharyngeal pouches and lacrimal duct obstruction so I am now the only surgeon in the county operating on them. Salivary gland disease and surgery remains an interest of mine. I undertake surgery for difficult recurrent cases. Other neck lumps are also seen by myself because of my paediatric interest I hold dedicated clinics for children’s ENT problems. I have an open access service for tongue ties and endoscope newborn babies in outpatients to save the need for referral outside and general anaesthesia. I hold a specialist voice clinic in conjunction with a speech therapist.
