Minor Injuries Unit (MIU)
Minor injuries units offer fast, expert care for people whose injuries aren’t serious enough for the Accident and Emergency (A&E) department. You should visit MIU if you need treatment for things like cuts, grazes, minor wounds, sprains, strains, minor burns and some broken bones.
Usually, your minor injuries will be treated more quickly if you go to MIU because the A&E department will always see urgent cases first.
Our MIU is based at Kidderminster Hospital and Treatment Centre and it is open 8am- 10pm every day.
You can also get treatment for minor injuries at community units in Bromsgrove, Evesham, Malvern and Tenbury – opening hours for these units vary. You can find out more information about them by visiting https://www.hacw.nhs.uk/miu
