The Worcester Royal Infirmary Nurses League is a group set up to keep nurses who have trained or worked at Worcester Royal Infirmary (or subsequent hospitals in Worcestershire) in touch with the hospital and colleagues.

The inaugural meeting of the Worcester Royal Infirmary Nurses League (WRINL) was held on 14 November 1951. From 1951 to 2002 an annual reunion of the WRINL has been held at the Worcester Royal Infirmary in Castle Street. Since 2002 the annual reunion of the WRINL has been held in The Church Hall, Trinity Street, Worcester, each May.

Membership to the League is open to Trained Nurses who are working or who have worked in Worcestershire Hospitals.

WRINL objectives

  • To foster a relationship between present and past members.
  • To maintain a bond between past students.
  • To endeavour to keep nurses updated of any changes in relation to Worcester Royal Infirmary.
  • To be aware and take action for any member needing help and comfort.
  • To contribute, as appropriate, to various organisations, charities and individuals within the nursing profession.
