Nominate your Hospital Hero for an award!
As Valentine’s Day approaches, patients and carers are being invited to share details of the hospital nurses, midwives, doctors or other staff and volunteers who hold a special place in their hearts and nominate them for an award.
The ‘Patients’ Choice Award’ will recognise a member of hospital staff from the Alexandra, Kidderminster or Worcestershire Royal Hospitals who have gone the extra mile to provide exceptional levels of care, compassion and commitment, always exceeding patient expectations.
The winner will be presented with their award at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust’s Recognition Awards ceremony on July 3, alongside winners in 15 other categories recognising individuals and teams who demonstrate excellence, compassion and exemplary patient care.
Sandra Berry, Deputy Director of Organisational Development at the Trust, said: “We think our staff and volunteers are amazing - and we know that our patients do too. This is a great opportunity for patients to show their appreciation for a particular member of staff or a volunteer who has gone that extra mile by nominating them for a special award.
“If this sounds like a member of staff or volunteer that you know, we’d love to hear how they have put patients first and gone above and beyond their normal day-to-day duties to make a positive difference to your or your relative's care.”
The Awards – which are generously sponsored by local businesses – take place at Sixways Stadium, the home of Worcester Warriors, on Friday, July 3, 2020.
