Nominate your Hospital Hero for an award!
After the most challenging year in the history of the NHS, the public are being asked to help celebrate the hospital nurses, midwives, doctors or other staff and volunteers who have left a lasting impression on them, by nominating them for an award
The ‘Patients’ Choice Award’ from Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, will recognise a member of hospital staff from the Alexandra, Kidderminster or Worcestershire Royal Hospitals who has gone the extra mile to provide exceptional levels of care, compassion and commitment.
The Patients’ Choice Award is part of the Trust’s Staff Recognition Awards - which are generously sponsored by local businesses – celebrating some of the remarkable achievements of colleagues from across Worcestershire’s hospitals.
The winning nominee will be presented with their award at an awards ceremony on Friday 9 July, alongside winners in 16 other categories recognising individuals and teams who have demonstrated exemplary patient care or gone to extraordinary lengths to put patients first during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Anna Sterckx, Head of Patient, Carer and Public Engagement at the hospitals, said: “Our staff and volunteers have been truly amazing, especially over the last year throughout the pandemic, and we know that our patients think this too! This is a really great opportunity for patients to show their appreciation for a particular member of staff or a volunteer who has gone that extra mile by nominating them for a special award.
“If this sounds like a member of staff or volunteer that you know, we’d love to hear how they have put patients first and gone above and beyond their normal day-to-day duties to make a positive difference to your or your relative's care.”
