Easter egg donation to children’s ward
Young people visiting Riverbank children’s ward at Worcestershire Royal Hospital have had their Easter period sweetened after a donation of Easter eggs from Reed recruitment.
The recruitment agency, based in Cheltenham but serving Worcestershire as well, delivered the chocolate eggs to the Riverbank ward for those children who were unfortunate enough to be in hospital at Easter time.
Reed recruitment appealed to local business partners and the public to donate an Easter egg, matching each egg received with one of their own to give to the ward.
Laura Millward, from Reed said: “We wanted to give something to the children who have to be in hospital around Easter time, and so we started this collection for eggs from the local community, promising that we’d match whatever is donated.
“We were shocked that we received as many donations as we did, but it’s a sign that people are willing to help a worthy cause like this.”
Joy Powell, play specialist on Riverbank ward said: “We’re thankful for such a generous delivery to the children on the ward as this one. We’ve been inundated by donations this Easter and it’s just something nice for the kids to take home with them after their stay.”
