Nominate your shining hospital star
In preparation for this year’s staff achievement awards, Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is asking the public to get involved and nominate their shining hospital star.
The trust, which runs the Alexandra, Kidderminster and Worcestershire Royal hospitals, is looking for members of staff who have gone above and beyond their normal day-to-day duties for the Patients’ Choice Award.
The shining star can be any of the trust’s 5,500 members of staff working at either, one of the county’s three acute hospitals or in acute community services.
The winning member of staff will receive the Patients’ Choice Award at this year’s staff achievement awards in September 2015.
Last year’s Patients’ Choice Award was won by ENT nurse practitioner Kate Baldwin for her friendly and approachable manner when dealing with patients in often difficult or distressing times. Kate is a wonderful nurse and is a shining example to other staff.
Kate said “It is fantastic to have the service I deliver recognised. I work across all three sites and to know I make such a difference to patients’ lives is amazing.”
To nominate pick up a Patients’ Choice nomination card from staff at the Alexandra, Kidderminster or Worcestershire Royal hospitals by Friday 12 June 2015 or click below to download a copy.
