Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust named as one of the CHKS 40Top Hospitals 2015

Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is one of the CHKS Top Hospitals for 2015, an accolade awarded to the 40 top performing CHKS client trusts. The Top Hospitals award is one of several awards that are part of the CHKSTop Hospitals programme.

As well as national awards for patient safety, quality of care and data quality, CHKS celebrates excellence amongst its clients across the UK. The Top Hospitals award is based on the evaluation of over 20 key performance indicators covering safety, clinical effectiveness, health outcomes, efficiency, patient experience and quality of care.

Harry Turner, Trust Chairman said “This independent award is a result of the effort of staff across the trust and it’s fantastic news! It's great to see some national recognition for our teams, especially following the extreme pressure we’ve been under during the winter.

“We were judged on our performance in a wide range of areas, so thank you and well done to all our staff for the consistent hard work you have put in over the year.”

The CHKS Top Hospitals programme awards were held in London on 19 May and were attended by over 200 guests including leaders from across the healthcare sector including: NHS England, Monitor, the Trust Development Authority and acute trusts.

Jason Harries, managing director, CHKS said “These awards recognise outstanding performance in those areas which we believe are critical to delivering good patient care. We are delighted that Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is one of our Top Hospitals 2015.”

4ward is our Trustwide culture change programme which is helping us build a more positive, supportive workplace for the benefit of our patients and colleagues. At its heart are our four 4ward Behaviours.
