Great turnout at hospital recruitment event

Over 100 potential employees attended a recruitment event in the Worcestershire Oncology Centre at Worcestershire Royal Hospital on Saturday 13 June.

Registered nurses, advanced nurse practitioners, operating department practitioners, midwives and current and aspiring healthcare support workers’ were invited to the event showcasing the various exciting opportunities available at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.

Several applications were completed during the day, with the hospital’s Human Resources team giving free 1:1 help and support to those interested applying for vacancies.

Matrons, sisters and nurses from all divisions across the trust were represented at the event which also demonstrated opportunities for future volunteers and students.

Chief Nursing Officer Lindsey Webb said: “We were thrilled with the level of interest we received. There was a lot of energy and enthusiasm from our staff and visitors to the event. It was a really great opportunity to show what we have to offer as an employer of choice.

“This event really built on the successful recruitment campaigns we have recently held for different roles. We look forward to welcoming some great applicants to our nursing teams soon.”
