Fundraising for our Neonatal Unit

We know it can be a worrying time when your baby is on the neonatal unit. With this in mind, we aim to give babies and their parents the best experience possible. We want to make a real difference and provide the best possible facilities, equipment and environment that we can.

Therefore we’re looking for fundraisers and supporters to raise vital funds for us so we are able to do more.

We will be holding our own events, but we are more than happy to promote a fundraising event that you hold on our behalf.

Ideas for a fundraising event

You can fundraise at work, at home with friends and family, in a community group or on your own. You can get people to sponsor you if you give something up for a month – treat it as a detox and give up chocolate or wine! If that’s too much, why not have your head or beard shaved?

Do you own your own business? Can you ask for a small donation from your customers – or hold a Funky Friday event and get your staff to turn up in outlandish clothes to raise awareness and money? (Baby rompers and dummies would be a fun idea!)

Enjoy baking? Why not hold a coffee morning and sell your cakes to attendees. Or maybe you could hold a baking masterclass? Or just do something low key like taking cakes into work and selling them to your workmates.

It doesn’t have to be a massive event, and small amounts raised add up over the year to a really important sum of money for the unit!

Can you do something entertaining – can you sing, are you a musician, are you a comedian, or a magician? You could put on a show for us to raise funds!

Do you like walking, running, cycling or swimming – if so, how about doing a sponsored walk, run, bike or swim for us?

We’re happy to publicise everything you do (if you want us to, that is!). We’d love to have the opportunity to promote your event, and publicly thank you for raising money for us!
