All patients staying in intensive care will be followed up closely by our outreach team, made up of specialist intensive care nurses with close liaison with the intensive care doctors.

Patients with a prolonged stay in intensive care will be called by the outreach team following discharge from hospital, to answer any questions about the stay, and to make sure recovery is proceeding smoothly.
