Alexandra Hospital A&E

Our A&E department at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. A&E is for major illnesses and injuries only.

The doctors and nurses at A&E are highly trained in emergency medicine and have access to special equipment and treatments.

Doctors and nurses in A&E meet with all patients to decide who needs to be treated first. This means that people with more serious problems could be treated before you, even if you got there first.

If you have a sick child, who requires urgent medical attention, please read our FAQs for more details

For less serious illnesses you should visit a Minor Injuries Unit or contact NHS 111, your local pharmacy or your GP surgery.
