Frailty service open event for healthcare staff on Saturday 7 July in Redditch

An open event is being held for Worcestershire’s frailty service on Saturday 7 July at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch, to demonstrate job opportunities on offer for healthcare staff with an interest in caring for those living with frailty.

The open event will allow prospective staff to come and look around the facilities including the recently opened specialist Frailty Assessment Unit at the Alexandra Hospital.

Visitors on the day will be able to find out more about the exciting career opportunities available across a number of disciplines in the countywide frailty service.

The service is looking for caring, compassionate and competent, registered and non-registered staff, interested in improving the lives of those living with frailty from physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nursing, or pharmacy backgrounds to join this new and exciting service.

Worcestershire’s specialist service for people living with frailty is based at the Alexandra Hospital and is already delivering improvements to the care provided for the county’s most rapidly growing group of patients.

Those without a healthcare qualification but who are interested in a career in this rewarding area may also be able to join this expanding team. Great training and development opportunities are also available for successful candidates.

The team delivering the service is made up of a range of skilled health professionals who provide care designed to support people living with frailty and help them return safely and quickly back into the comfort of their own home.

The open event will take place at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch, on Saturday 7 July from 10am to 2pm. There will be a chance to meet some of the current team, see some of the services they provide and have a chat about what opportunities are on offer.
